While at Kakata, we were visited by Peace Corps Volunteer Charlene Espinoza, the entrepreneur who has turned her Salala school’s girls’ club into a thriving business selling beautifully designed and sewn bags, headbands, kindle covers etc.

The proceeds from the Bosh Bosh Project go to the girls’ school fees. The business has its own website at www.boshbosh.org

Photo below show Charlene and RPCV Patty Havlik (70-72) laying out the wares.

Patty Havlik and her husband Gene (also an RPCV) had brought money from an RPCV friend for projects in Liberia. They donated some of it for three new sewing machines for Bosh Bosh. Charlene, who has a design background, is staying on for a third year in Peace Corps.
