Over 180 traditional leaders, in collaboration with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, have agreed to suspend Bush School activities for one year.  The suspension aims to stop “harmful traditional practices”  of Sande societies, such as the early marriage of girls.

The Council and the Ministry will re-license and register trained Zoes before a society can resume operation.
