Dear Members,
We want our members to know that Friends of Liberia will donate $10,000 to Doctors without Borders for the specific use to help the areas and people affected by Ebola in Liberia and West Africa. In addition FOL is also donating $10,000 to Global Health Ministries. This will make it possible for GHM to send another air shipments of protective gear for its health workers at Phebe Hospital, Curran Hospital and the Ministry of Health..

We are also asking members to sign this petition to see if we can get more support from the US government for Liberia. Please take a look and participate in this critical We the People petition.

The Ambassador from Liberia to the US, Ambassador Sulunteh has written a letter to US citizens about the situation, and this can be read at Embassy of Liberia – News and you can go to Embassy website for further Ebola updates.

We know that there are others in our membership who may wish to make a personal donation to FOL that will help with the serious health crisis in Liberia. If you wish to do so, please send a check to
FOL Treasurer, Pete Murdza
P.O. Box 164
Etna, NH 03750.
If you prefer, you are welcome to make a donation on our Paypal account online. We will divide up the donations made by our members and send to the two NGOs (Doctors without Borders and Global Health Ministries).

Thank you for your support.
Stephanie Vickers
President FOL

All future donations sent to FOL for the Ebola epidemic will be sent to organizations that are directly involved with the disease outbreak in Liberia.
