Rebecca was in Peace Corps Liberia from 2012-2014 as a high school English teacher in Saclepea, Nimba County, and a Volunteer Leader in Gbarnga, Bong County. After Peace Corps, she continued to work in Liberia with NGOs doing projects in public health and education.

When not doing work for Friends of Liberia, Rebecca is deep into graduate school. Currently, she is finishing up a masters in cultural anthropology at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. Her research looks at how public health and community programs can be informed by social science. She is particularly interested in understanding how women and other marginalized genders are left out of social programs.
