Joe has served as a Peace Corps Volunteer three times: first as an English teacher in Cambodia (2007–09), then in Liberia (Barziwen, Lofa County) as an English teacher (2012–13), and then in the Republic of Georgia as a development consultant (2016–18). He earned his master’s degree through the Peace Corps Master’s International program at the University of Washington, where his studies focused on organizational performance and management, financial management and budgeting, and quantitative analysis for policy analysis. Joe currently works at Miriam’s Kitchen, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending chronic and veteran homelessness in Washington, D.C
