Ronald E. Mertz passed away peacefully on May 31, 2026, in Town and Country, Missouri, surrounded by his loved ones. Ron's celebration of life will be held from 12:00-3:00 pm on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at Meramec Bluffs, 1 Meramec Bluffs Dr, Mallwin, MO.
Ron served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Liberia from 1963 to 1965—a chapter of his life that remained among his proudest achievements. Ron later served on the Friends of Liberia Education committee as an evaluator for the Family Literacy Initiative (FLI) program.
