The Liberian national government has not given forest communities their 30 percent share of land rental fees paid by logging companies since the 2016/2017 fiscal year, according to the manager of the E.U.’s Non-State Actor Project. This and other government shortcomings were revealed during a project sponsored forum for forest communities and logging companies in Grand Bassa, River Cess, Margibi, and Sinoe counties.
