Peace Corps Volunteers are being paid, most field-based training continues, and most pre-service staging events for invitees remain on schedule. But most staffers at home and abroad are not getting paid.
You can help staffers and RPCVs now in Federal Civil Service by:
- Inviting a furloughed federal employee to lunch or dinner.
- Supporting businesses that are helping furloughed workers.
- Connect with your local RPCV affiliate group to support furloughed RPCV federal employees through their mentoring, career counseling, couchsurfing, and other RPCV outreach.
- Refer any furloughed RPCV in a dire situation to NPCA’s benevolent fund.
