Police used heavy handed tactics to clear 3000 demonstrators outside the capitol building as they gathered to cook evening meals.
The demonstrators had peacefully marched to ask Mr Weah what happened to $25m the government withdrew from the country’s Federal Reserve Account in 2018 to stabilise the economy. They also called on the former football star to declare his assets before and after he became president two years ago.
