This week 18 “LR-2″ Volunteers are attending their Close of Service Conference. They are the second group of 2-year Volunteers to serve since Peace Corps’ return to Liberia in 2008, and they have done so much to help us expand our Secondary Education program across the country. We are very proud of the work they have accomplished, the lessons they have taught, the students they have reached, and the Liberian friendships they have forged. We are also very proud that a third of our LR-2s have enjoyed their time so much that they are considering extending their service.
