If you were able to vote for FOL to receive the Loret Miller Ruppe Award for 2023, we appreciate it! Based on our activities and our anthology, Never the Same Again, we were one of three finalists. We don’t know yet who won, but the other two groups included both U.S. geographical and country-based followers, including some who were FOL members. Whatever happens, FOL’s activities were shown to promote the Third Goal of Peace Corps—“strengthen Americans’ understanding about the world and its peoples”— AND continue to serve host countries, build group spirit and cooperation, and promote service.
