The Wild Chimpanzee Foundation filmed the critically endangered western chimpanzee, Diana monkey, King colobus, and pygmy hippopotamus.
The lighting and clarity of these species is incredibly rare, as noted by our Member-At-Large, Richard Nisbett:
“Having worked on biodiversity conservation for 30 years in Liberia, and lived in the [southeast] high forests for, cumulatively, several years, I can honestly say this is the most awesome camera trap footage of Upper Guinea mammals ever captured! I lived and worked with hunters, healers and farmers upcountry and can confirm that these images are among the best ever taken of this forest guild.”
