The first group of post-war Peace Corps Volunteers has left Liberia to return to the States. This has not happened for several years. In order to offer them assistance settling in back home, FOL is instituting a Mentor Program. Returning Volunteers will be able to link up with FOL members to get assistance in job hunting, resume writing, cv development, explore educational possibilities, have access to a friendly ear to hear about their experiences, hear stories of others’ return successes and pitfalls.
We would like to begin building a data base of mentors who would be willing to communicate with returning Volunteers and help them in this process. If you are interested in serving as a mentor, please complete the information sheet and email it to Arthur Rodger
at arthurrodger@gmail.com. He will add you to the database and contact you if there is a likely match. Further information on expectations and goals will be forthcoming.
This is a wonderful opportunity to further the third goal of Peace Corps, bringing the world back to the US and a great opportunity to continue your volunteer service.
